All about Fidgets

I'm Karen, I've been working with children for more than ten years now and was deputy manager at Walton Village Pre-school until I decided to dedicate more of my time to Fidgets.

I like to make sure that all of my sessions are both fun and educational. Music covers all areas of a child's devlopment; Learning rhymes and songs encourages language and memory. Moving to a rhythmn aids physical development, while playing an instrument helps to develop motor skills and co-ordination. Counting songs even encourage early skills/interest in mathematics.

Most importantly, however is the children's social development. I firmly believe that one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is self-confidence. At Fidgets the children learn to enjoy the company of others whilst joining in as part of a group.

In fact at Fidgets we cover all of the Early Learning Goals that will be re-inforced at every stage of a child's education, through pre-school and into reception class at primary school.
